Subject: Off-Topic - has NBC found a loophole to annoy us with?

Or maybe it's just our affiliate. Has anyone else noticed...

For maybe a year now, the NBC hour-long shows have been broadcast at a much lower sound level, but the commercials are at "normal" levels - but if you've turned the sound up to hear the show, the commercials blare.

When I was young, networks blared their commercials, until FCC regulations changed it. Maybe turning the shows down is allowed...

I'm inclined to not try new NBC shows. When I remember...
