This is going to be a lot harder than you think. The best way of putting it is to send you here where you are welcome to try the karaoke version of Build Me Up Buttercup by The Foundations (the 8th most popular track of 1969) but be warned, it's not easy to sing.

Actually I have a sneaking suspicion that some of the vocal cues are missing from the karaoke track but it's pretty close to the original. The timing though! Geezus!

Hints: Start with a big WHY Do YOU on the fifth of the repeated group of eight in the intro, don't try to sing anything in brackets and double the timing for "A little....mine" and "I'll be....you". This tape will self-destruct in five seconds!
