"Pejorative," I'm referring to.

Nevertheless, it was not my intention to offend or slander anyone and I apologize to any who feel that it was offensive.

I think you have misunderstood the distinction between head and heart that I was making. Consider Mr. Spock. He subjugates his human half, his humanity, to science and logic, thereby alienating himself from his humanity. This is why, in the old series, Spock makes a great first officer but is not competent to run the ship. Kirk, who is informed both by logic and by feeling (mccoy) is. The story of the old cast Star Trek movies is about Spock uncovering his humanity. He goes from "It is logical. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few," through "We must save Chekov... It is the human thing to do," and ultimately to "Logic is the beginning of wisdom, Saavik, not its end." That is the sense in which I, and I believe the bulk of sci-fi and fantasy literature, approach the balance of head and heart. Too much head is not a good thing (something I never thought I'd hear myself say. Apologies again to everyone offended). I think most parochial interests, while heartfelt, tend to come from an attachment to logic and reason, however faulty. The ability to fly airplanes into buildings shows to me a lack of recognition of common humanity between the hijackers and their victims, in favor of an adherence to rules and categories set down by an external authority. I see that as more head than heart. A matter of opinion or emphasis perhaps. I object to what they did, at any rate.
