I dealt with the Kate situation mostly in another post, so now I can go to what else happened in the latest episode. Things started so quiet with Jin walking out of his shelter after a welcome home from Sun. Hurley was busy tonight but was able to connect with Jin with a simple thumbs up. Then the reality hit home as we see Sayid preparing a site to bury Shannon.

Eko tells Ana that he is going to the funeral, but Ana is unable to go herself as she feels it would be at the least uncomfortable. Eko tries to put a good spin on the situation to make his friend feel better.

Eko: "I think most of them realize it was an accident"

At Shannon's funeral, Sayid speaks some truths. He knows that if it weren't for that flight, the island , that Shannon would never have spoken to him, he would never have grown to love. He simply can't speak and leaves. Jack takes over and each member pours some sand in Shannon's grave.

Later Charlie confirms the fact that a few of 'them' came...even though he added they seemed to have gone all 'Lord of the Flies'.

In the hatch, Locke removes the handcuff from a grateful Jin. Michael is looking about and asks why there were blast doors. Locke mentions a movie and Michael and Eko are interested. But it's Eko who has a surprise. There was a place similar to where they are now that had something he felt would be helpful. He then went into the story of Josiah and the rebuilding of the temple.

They used the book (bible), not the gold to rebuild the temple.

Eko has a book and inside is one of the splices from the Hanso film (there was more than one break in the film). Then we are back to comic relief with Hurley who has to state the obvious:

Hurley: "So, Rose's husbands white..didn't see that one coming.

Hurley is speaking with Jack who is chopping wood, like Sawyer has done before him. Hurley, who has experience in the field of the mind, wonders if Jack is angry with Sawyer, a transference thing.

Locke and Eko speak and Locke wonders what the odds are that the two sides of the plane would join again, what are the odds that the film would be (partially) joined again. Eko who is going to be a great force next to Locke says:

Eko: "Don't mistake coincidence for fate"

Then we're back to the main feature film. The missing bit is simply a warning. No matter how tempted they are, the computer in station 3 only is meant to function as a way to enter the code, nothing else. If they do anything more they risk another 'incident'. Michael is then seen in the computer room, he hears some annoying beeps and when he looks at the screen:

Hello?
Michael: Hello?
Who is this?
Michael: This is Michael who is this?

DAD?
