,and I didn't know this when I posted earlier, I've just found out that Serenity is only showing for ONE DAY locally (Oct 6). Just 4 screenings at one cinema and only 2 at another and then it's gone! Needless to say I've booked already and have my ticket in front of me as I type but I wonder how full the theatre will be for the first screening as this truly salient point isn't being made known on the ads.

I've no idea whether this is good news or not. Maybe I get to see the film screened earlier than I would otherwise and it will do the rounds properly in due course, maybe not. I'm totally bewildered, I'm just not aware of this sort of arrangement not being mentioned in the advertising before, especially considering Serenity's getting quite extensive nation-wide promotion.

I find this bizarre but hey, maybe it'll be sort of a private screening, which has its own variety of appeal albeit an exclusive kind of non-mass appeal.
