Jerome originates from one of Pliartha’s eastern neighbors, Sharrelth. Jerome is an alert and swift centaur—almost nothing escapes his attention. With the combination of his sword and hooves, he’s a deadly opponent. He is not brilliant by any means, but he certainly knows enough to get around and has a particular talent for leadership when the situation demands it. Jerome is rather quiet and laid back, but every now and then he surprises people with his sense of humor.
Jerome’s horse parts are chocolate brown with white and black stockings on his back legs and a dark brown, almost black, tail. His human part has well tanned skin and dark brown hair that reaches the middle of his back. Jerome’s brown eyes are shinning and alert, but in a hawk-like way…not very friendly looking. However, when he smiles, his whole face lights up.
Sharrelth, being the predominantly flat country it is, has a healthy population of centaurs. It has close relations with its Southern neighbor Francenia, which is the reason Jerome and Sebastian met. The two have known each other since their mid-teens and have had a strange sort of friendship ever since. Sebastian, raised by thieves, and Jerome, a centaurian noble, almost could be said to have a mutualistic relationship: Jerome is noble and Sebastian needs connections in court; Sebastian is a thief and Jerome prefers to escape his noble life for the streets at times. Neither is extremely fond of the other, though they get along as a necessity. It’s not uncommon for them to argue—or even exchange blows when particularly angry—but they always reconcile in the end.
Currently, the two have joined an odd party of traders and warriors. They joined this party (which, during its travels, became known as "The Nyx Loki") In Kamoria, the Nyx Loki had a nasty encounter with some dark imps and other troublesome creatures. So, they are now in Pliartha and heading for the palace. A number of the group’s members hop to trade in Rhonde; Jerome hopes to become acquainted with Pliarthian nobility and Sebastian plans to become better acquainted with the courts’ ladies and Rhonde’s "underworld."
