..I never reallyy got my head round the Pulis thing. Gross Misconduuct, apparently. Which could mean anything from passing confidential info to the Kent Today to shagging Lisa-Marie in the shower. Or was that Iffy?

V. confused.

PT had just been elbowed out of the Eng-er-land setup by that tw@t Wilko. Scally met with him (I think Hess may have suggested it) and PT agreed to take over contract-less for a year. Some of the fans weren't too pleased vbecause of his past managerial failures in the league (step forward Southend United). However, when the infamous Nigel 'Cheating Nobosaurus' Worthington episode happened at Cheatpool, everyone saw how much he cared, and how he wanted Gillingham to do well.

Personally, I went through a spell of hating him because he wouldn't play Guy Butters, but once we started playiing consistently well and getting results, the post-Wembley nerves disappeared and we loved every minute.

PT brought in Junior Lewis from non-League Hendon. There were a lot of Junior boo-boys but PT always gts the best out of him, Big Bird was quality and a thoroughly-bloody-nice-bloke. Also proided the cross to Butler to draw us level at Wembley. Taylor brought in Andy Thomson, he scored the goals and got us promoted. A genius. There were a few others but on the whole they faded into obscurity. Asaba spend most of the season injured and Super Bob had just buggered off to M*n C*ty so without Thommo we'd have been nothing.

I love PT. He got us where we are today, the boys still love him and I wish him all the best at the seaside. Anyone who calls him a Judas for going to Leicester has no idea. It's Scally's fault foor not tying him into a contract sooner. Our man for one season. Good luck to him.
