The girl limped along the path to the open meadows, holding her side. She was trying to walk and heal herself at the same time but finding it difficult. She gave up and went to heal Fire Cry.

He stumbled alone, everything aching to the extreme. He wished for his immortal body once again. A long wound appeared on his side and bleed without end. Surely he would bleed to death soon. �Leave it.� He said to Katie, still able to use the Connection to read her thoughts.

She moved away from his side again and frowned. �I should at least stop the bleeding.�

�No.� He groaned. �Leave it.�

Together they stumbled alone, each stained with blood and exhausted thought eyes were bright as ever, looking forward to see their loved ones.

�Fire Cry?�

�What?�

�Will you tell her about that day?�

�No. Not now.�

�But she will-�

He cut her off. �-She will not need to know. I wish I could forget. What is done is done.�

�But� don�t you fear death now?�

�Do you?�

She was silent and nothing more was said as they entered the meadow and stopped to look for their band.
