Ebon� form glowed as night drenched in pale moonlight as it entered the intense daylight. As his daughter slowed, he went on a short distance then slowed on the way back. He watched her rise. He felt her scream. He stayed silent and still just a yard from her. There was no labored breathing nor rapid heart beat to recover from. He just stood watching, waiting for the golden fae to calm a bit. The brute still wished to talk to her. A favor was in order to be asked: One that meant life or death for them both, for them all. Despite the power the beast withheld, he could not see the number of his days. And nightmares were closing in on him.
