Dial was tosses back, golden banner waved, train was flicked. He kept the lead. Was victory near? Glance is made toward the mare, orbs beam... gentle... yet wild at the same time. Slowly his power was draining. The ancestors grew weak in him, but they praised themselves.. his soul was theirs. And for what! they cried inside of him with glee. A mare! He give us his soul for a mare! They mocked him, but he could not hear them. He gives one more.. one last... burst of speed. It slowly died... he was nearly through|

|The shadows are shifting� from dark to light� the shadows are shifting� through day and night� the shadows are shifting� I don�t know who I am� they call me the shifter� in this strange land|

|Who am I? I don�t even know� so they call me� the Shifter|
