Ooids of rain hued clouds looked upon him. Dial was thrust sharply in the direction of Diamond as she spoke. Was he dead what a nice question to ask after she had lost her mate and son both killed before her own eyes. Life had it's cruel twist but this was so much to bear. How could she move on without her mate he was the other half of her soul. The only children they ever had were gone. Firelight to the side of the dark and now.. Flames. Was he even alive he must live he must. Muzzle was placed upon his neck as she nuzzled his mane affectionately. Flames.. oh my dear please get up don't leave me. Mare wept openly tears flowing from her eyes. Why was life so hard so very hard was this a test to see if she could strive on. Would she pass or fail?
