Subject: national wrestling problems

I kinda agree to a point too, but the other thing is to present a television show (the only was a national organization can succeed is with national tv) with a production value near that of the wwf, which will always air in Canada.

The problem with a lot of Canadian talent is that they are only popular in certain territories. Dr Luther for instance is a phenomenon in the prairies, but no one has heard of him around here. Much the same, Joe E Legend has mass appeal to the Maritimes, but have they ever even heard of him in Vancouver?

To make a national organization, you need tv. To get national tv, you needs names. Unfortunately, unless Bret Hart decides he's gonna stop crying about Vince for ten minutes, there really is not enough name talent to make a company want to televise a serial wrestling show. And if a Canadian indy guy gets big and wants the dollars, he's jumping at the WWF's offer.

I don't care how much the people may want it, no one will dethrone Vince for a long long time.

Vince is the man, and unless Rupert Murdoch or Bill Gates wants to throw their hat in the ring, so to speak, no one has the money to compete. And I know, WCW had the money and they went under, but that was because of a lot of poor business deals. I think Murdoch or Gates would hire someone with not only the wrestling knowledge (which Bischoff had a pretty good deal of) but someone with a business sense too.

There is my rant.
