The concept of one Canadian major fed is intriguing but the biggest problem is consumer demand. While it would give great talent a chance to shine, it would be hard to convince Canadians to care if it came off as "minor league." And if I salute the WWF for anything, it's the way that it secured Canada. Once Frank Tunney passed on and Jack Tunney fell out with Jim Crockett, the keys to Toronto went to Stamford and basically the entire country's keys went with them and have stayed there ever since. They maintain a highly influential WWF Canada office and Carl DeMarco has done a fantastic and aggressive job of promoting WWFE up north (his brainfart of dissing the CFL aside).

Thus, even though the WWF is the "big, bad U.S. fed", a lot of fans here (esp. in Toronto and out west) think of the WWF as a Canadian institution. I think an all-Canadian fed would be most viable in another two to three years when I anticipate that house show attendance for WWFE will drop badly (they've already experienced such drops in this area). Then there will be less incentive for the WWF to come north as often and more incentive for a national fed to start up.
