I`ll eventually do my own so I won`t go in depth here.

>GPW has gone the way of Beta, the new Coke, and WCW: >slaughtered by its own inept marketing. Bring on the Real >Action Wrestling...
True enough. One can only wonder if the comeback will get off the ground.

>1. Eddy Watts vs. Acadian Giant (** 1/2)

>This was my first look at Watts.
To my knowledge, this was his North Sydney/Sydney debut.

>Fairly ordinary match with good crowd heat.
I found that this match took too long to get going for how much of a "flurry" of action it produced at the end.

>I would be remiss if I didn't mention that these two >chopped each other to pieces; AG emerged rather welted.
I hate the overuse of the chop move; it takes the fun out of "whooing".

>2. Mike Hughes vs. Buddy Lane (** 3/4)
Lane is Mr. Open Challenge. Last show he accepted Bobby Rude`s, and this week Buddy Lane`s.

>We're a man short tonight, I guess.
Hard to tell who the man would be, as this roster is constantly changing. What ever happened to JQ Public? What about Custom Made Man? Imagine the shows they could have if those guys were around!

>3. Massive Attack vs. Cpl. Kaos (*)
Gave me nightmares. Actually, having seen the Cuban/Beast boxing match, it wasn`t bad by comparison. The guy sitting two seats over from me called it the worst match he`d ever seen in his life.

>4. Acadian Giant & Buddy Lane vs. Kingman & Mike
>Hughes (** 1/2)
>
>The one thing I have to dock this match for was the clumsy execution of the finish. Acadian Giant and Kingman each have >a pin set up and the Giant's doesn't count because he's not
>legal. This is despite the fact that he made the tag that >the ref kinda sorta saw...which if he didn't, why didn't he send him back to his corner?
I hate that that little stuff is just ignored these days. Heels make tags without the ref looking all the time, and he does nothing about it. Try to sell it a little at least!

>I predict that the audience will really be into the "battle >of the giants."
There could be decent heat, but the workrate? The jury is out.

>5. Chi Chi Cruz vs. Bobby Rude (****)

>Chi Chi looked great tonight; the same motivated man
>that tore down the Forum in '99 with Joe E Legend.
Great to see Chi Chi with a new opponent. He was going nowhere with Kingman.
Don`t use the term "tore down the Forum", it may happen for real yet one of these nights!
Best match in the Forum since the Joe E days.

>Ditch the hardcore title and I'd be happy to see action >like this in July and August.
I`d love to see that, but it won`t happen. RAW, like the WWF, feels that the crowd MUST see a hardcore match every night.
But some of them have blown chunks.
Granted, Bloody Bill matches are usually decent- he puts some pyschology into them. They should have him wrestler on selected cards, and he`d be a bigger draw.
