WILLPOWER PART 18: EMPOWERMENT

=============> 216 AD <=============
We are at a town. People are running through the streets in terror. Knights with helmets, body armor and swords roam
through the streets. There are dead people everywhere and several houses are burning. It's a total chaos.
We can see a large group of nights enter an alley. We can't see inside the alley because we're looking from it sideways.
After a few seconds the knights are one by one thrown back out; dead.
Scene shifts to inside a local barn. Two women and one man stand around a small wooden table.
WOMAN 1 *subtitle*
The demon Radament must be stopped. We must complete the ritual.
The other woman puts an amulet on the table. It has a light-green crystal in the center.
They then hold each other's hands.
MAN
Avos lharzok tesona me fi. Sedante tri macu.....
Camera shifts from the barn, back to the street. Camera moves towards the alley so we can see what is inside.
We see Radament; a creature that has two arms and two legs. It is about ten feet tall. It has a tail and his body
is covered with spikes. On his forehead are four horns and he has no nose. His eyes are blood-red.
Radament is completely bald. Radament is killing more knights that were sent after him. He doesn't seem to have
any trouble with it. Suddenly, he looks up in fear.
RADAMENT *angry* *subtitle*
No!
He suddenly leaps forward and shoves the remaining knights aside. He then runs away.
The camera moves back to the barn where the man is still chanting.
MAN
Savreh isgur isendre lamar aseth....
Then, the door of the barn is bashed in. Radament stands in the doorway. The man stops chanting in fear.
RADAMENT *angry* *subtitle*
Shut up!
The man looks at the women and continues chanting.
MAN *scared* *talks fast*
Meathi suderum ma mar. Acaste ceras mavri. Acum!
While the man speaks these words, Radament storms through the barn towards the man. He is too late however. As the man
speaks these last words, the amulet on the table begins to glow. Radament is turning to energy which is immediately
channelled to the amulet. After half a minute, Radament is gone and the crystal in the amulet is pitch black.
Camera shifts to the middle of some sea. There is a large ship in the water. It is lying still in the water.
On the deck of the ship, there are the two women and the man who imprisoned Radament inside the amulet.
They put the amulet in a large chest along with a lot of stones in the chest. The man starts to breathe grabs
heavily and grabs her head.
MAN *subtitle*
We have to get rid of this amulet fast
We see the amulet lying on top of the stones in the chest. We can hear a whispering sound coming from the amulet.
Then, the chest is closed and locked with several locks. The three of them then throw the chest overboard.
WOMAN 2 *subtitle*
I pray that he will never find his way back
=============> Present Day <=============
The same chest is now standing on the table in a cabin of a fishing boat. The three men on the deck are talking about
the chest.
JACK
So Pete, you think there's anything of value in that chest?
PETE
Of course Jack. Why else would they put so many locks on it?
MIKE
I can't wait until we get to Sunnydale
JACK
Can't we just go back to out last stop? It's closer.
PETE
No, we can't let it interfere with our schedual.

We are at a local shop. There are keys hanging all over the place. This looks like a locksmith's shop.
PETE
Hello.... *looks at namesign*.... Greg... Can you help us?
GREG
What do you need?
The other two men carry the box inside.
PETE
We need all those locks opened.
GREG
Hey, no problem.
The two men set the box on a table. Greg grabs a bunch of master keys and within a minute, he has pried all six locks open.
Pete opens the chest and takes the amulet.
PETE
Looks pricy!
The other men check the chest but find nothing but rocks.
JACK
Not what I hoped but at least we're not going home empty-handed.
Pete is staring at the amulet which has started whispering. We can't understand but it's clear that Pete does understand.
Pate takes the amulet out of the chest and his expression suddenly changes into a cold stare.
JACK
Are you okay man?
PETE *cold*
I'm fine
MIKE
Can I have a look?
Pete gives him an angry look.
MIKE *annoyed*
Hey man, that amulet is ours okay?
Pete's expression suddenly changes into an angry one.
PETE *cold*
You're going to leave, now
JACK
What's wrong with you man?
Pete grabs a stone from the chest and swings it at Jack's head. He hits him and Jack falls to the ground. He doesn't get up.
MIKE *panicks*
Holy Jesus! What did you do?
Mike rushes over to Jack and checks Jack's pulse.
MIKE
He's still alive. Get an ambulance.
Pete takes the opportunity to ram the stone he's still holding against Mike's head. He falls down right next to Jack.
He also doesn't get up. Greg backs away, scared.
GREG
Hey... I don't have anything to do with this.
We hear whispering but this time, we can understand it
*whispering*
Don't let him go. Kill him!
Pete kicks Greg in the gut and then swings the stone towards Gregs head. Like the others, Greg goes down and doesn't get up.
Pete puts the amulet around his neck, hides it under his shirt. His expression is still cold and hard.
He walks out of the store.

It's night and after Kennedy's party, the gang has just gathered at the Summers' house. They are all sitting in the living
room, cooling down after a long nights party.
KENNEDY
Thanks guys, this was great
Xander suddenly jumps of his chair.
XANDER
Hey! I almost forgot.
Xander walks to the living room and comes back with a beautifully crafted small sword. It has runic inscriptions at the
base and looks razor sharp. The sword is made completely out of a metal that looks like iron, except for the handle,
which is clearly leather.
XANDER
It would have been a bit emabassing to give this at the Bronze, so we're giving it now
Xander gives the sword to Kennedy who almost glooms with excitement. If it were up to her, she'd probably go out
right now to kill demons with it but she realizes that would have to wait.
KENNEDY
Wow, this looks awesome.
Kennedy looks at the sword and her eyes fall on the runic inscriptions at the base of the sword.
KENNEDY *really interested*
Was does all of that mean?
GILES
Well, it's a sword that has been around for centuries. It was used by valious knights and even
by a king. The king let his sorcerors engrave it with those marks for good luck... or so we think.
KENNEDY
Wow... this is really great guys. Really, thank you. The whole evening was wonderfull...
KENNEDY *very fast, obviously lying*

WILLOW *sarcasm*

Not much later, Xander, Andrew and Giles leave. Kennedy and Dawn are standing by the door and Willow is already
moving up the stairs.
WILLOW
You coming sweetie?
KENNEDY
In a minute, I need to talk to Dawn about something
WILLOW
Alright, see you in a minute
Kennedy guides Dawn to the living room and they both take a seat.
DAWN
So... what's up?
KENNEDY *smiles*
Oh come on Dawn! You and Andrew!
DAWN *scared*
You saw that? Who else saw it?
KENNEDY
Well, I can tell you Willow didn't see it. But that's not the point.
DAWN *cautious*
Okay... what *is* your point?
KENNEDY
Why wasn't Mitch there?
DAWN
He said he couldn't come.
KENNEDY
I kinda asked that to point out that you already have a boyfriend.
DAWN *sad*
I know. What am I gonna do?
KENNEDY
Well, I don't know if a lesbian's opinion counts when it comes to boyfriends, but I think you
better ask yourselfwhat you really want. I mean, at least Andrew broke up with Rachel before
he kissed you.
DAWN
That had nothing to do with me and you know it!
KENNEDY
How would I know it?
DAWN
Oh please, he saw Rachel right here begging you to take her back
Dawn's expression suddenly changes as she realizes she should not have said that. Kennedy's eyes grow wide.
KENNEDY *panicks*
What?! He saw that?! How...how...how...
DAWN
How did he see it?... Just coincidence
KENNEDY
And he told you?
DAWN
Yes
KENNEDY
Who else knows?
DAWN
Well, hopefully Willow!
KENNEDY
Yes she knows
DAWN *comforting*
It's not something you should be embarassed of. You handled it good... or so I heard.
KENNEDY *soft*
I can't believe he saw that.
DAWN *sincere*
Look, I don't know why, but I like him a lot... it's... I don't know... it feels right.
KENNEDY
It's good that you like him.... but you're still gonna have to talk to Mitch
Dawn leans back and looks up at the ceiling
DAWN
What the hell am I gonna say?
KENNEDY
You might wanna try the truth.
Dawn stands up.
DAWN
It can wait until tomorrow. I'm going to bed.
KENNEDY
Think it over. Every decision you make is the right decision as long as you're honest.
DAWN
G'night
Dawn walks upstairs. Kennedy also stands up and walks upstairs.

The next day at Glory's lair, she is lying on her back on a huge bed. She has her eyes open and suddenly, she
jumps off the bed.
GLORY
Okay everyone, get in here!
The door opens and Glory's three minions come in.
MINION 1
You called, great Glorificus?
GLORY
It's Glory, you scabby moron! You're gonna get a human for me.
MINION 2
We will, great one
GLORY
Good. I will use him to call upon the Naf-Seetme.
MINION 1
The demonlord?
GLORY
No, the iceskater... of course the demonlord! Now get out and get me a human!
The minions hurry out of the room. Glory shakes her head.
GLORY
So hard to find good help.

Willow and Giles are together in the Magic Box. They are sitting opposed to each other at the table. The table has a
couple of books on it and Willow's laptop.
GILES
You are making very good progress. You have learnt in three months what takes watchers more than
a year. Aren't you neglacting your regular studies?
WILLOW *smiles*
No, that's going well too
GILES
Well... excellent. I wanted to talk to you about Glory.
WILLOW
To me?
GILES
Well... yes
WILLOW *cautious*

GILES
I've discovered a ritual about the creation of a Dagon Sphere, but I'm a bit.... well, it's out of my
league to say the least.
Giles hands Willow an opened book. Willow glances over it for a couple of minutes.
WILLOW
This is a complex ritual, but I think I can pull it off...
GILES
That's great!
WILLOW
*if* I can get a hold of the ingredients
GILES
What do you need?
WILLOW
Well, it says I need a symbol of virtue.... that's a little vague
GILES
Is the rest clear?
WILLOW
Well, basically, I need that ingredient along with some basic ingredients I can get here. Then I
power up a crystal with a ritual.
GILES
So... a symbol of virtue.... what do you think that means?
WILLOW *talks softer with every word*
Well... I... don't know
GILES
We'll discuss it tonight with everyone. Maybe they'll have an idea.
WILLOW
Fine. See you tonight
Willow walks out of the Magic Box. When she walks out of the store, she is spotted by Pete who is standing on the other
side of the street. There is nobody in sight.
VOICE *whispers*
Kill her!
Pete takes one step in Willow's direction.
VOICE *whispers*
Stop! She radiates with power. Follow her!
Willow walks away and Pete follows her at a safe distance.

Willow arrives at Kennedy's work. She is just walking out.
KENNEDY *surprised*
Willow! What are you doing here?
WILLOW *smiles*
Can't a girlfriend pick you up from work?
KENNEDY
Of course you can sweetie
Kennedy gives Willow a quick kiss and the two walk off together. On the other side of the road, Pete is watching them.
VOICE
Willow?...... Could she be the one?
When Kennedy and Willow walk off, Pete follows them.

When Willow and Kennedy reach the Summers' residence, they are very pleased that dinner is ready.
WILLOW
Dawn, you cooked?!
DAWN
Yes, amazing what kind of skill I have huh? I've been busy with it all day?
KENNEDY
You didn't have to go to school?
DAWN
Well... it's usually closed on saturdays
KENNEDY *feeling stupid*
Oh... right
The three of them sit down at the table and start loading up their plates with food.
WILLOW
Giles has something important to tell when we go there tonight
DAWN *excited*
Did he find a way to kill Glory?
WILLOW
He found somewhere to begin
DAWN *dissapointed*
Oh
Willow takes a bite of the food and her expression changes. We're not sure what to make of it. She looks at Kennedy
who is making a similar face.
DAWN *smiling again*
You like it?
WILLOW
Yes, it's great
KENNEDY
Yeah, you should cook more often
DAWN *smiling*
Great, I'm gonna get something to drink. Be right back with the glasses.
Dawn leaves the room.
WILLOW *desperate*
I can't believe I''m eating this!
KENNEDY *whispers*
How can someone so smart be such a terrible cook
Willow let's out a stifled laugh.
WILLOW *whispers*
Look who's talking!
Kennedy's expression changes to surprise
KENNEDY *whispers*
Hey! You said that tasted good.
WILLOW *whispers*
Yes, and we just told Dawn the same
Kennedy quickly looks around the room.
KENNEDY *whispers*
Where is that plant that you can throw your food in?
WILLOW *whispers*
That's only in movies sweetie
Dawn then comes back into the room. She's carrying three glasses and then fills them up with water and sets them
on the table.
WILLOW
Thanks Dawnie
KENNEDY
So... you've been cooking all day?
Dawn starts to look at the food. Willow and Kennedy are starting to eat.
DAWN
Yes, kind of
WILLOW
I think that's good, Dawn. You need to relax from time to time.
Kennedy almost chokes on her food.
KENNEDY
You do huh?
Willow shuts her mouth and starts eating. Dawn also takes a bite. Dawn makes an expression of disgust.
DAWN *disgust*
Oh my god! That's.....
Dawn grabs her glass of water and pours it drinks it empty.
DAWN
...disgusting! You two actually liked that?
Willow and Kennedy look at each other and at their half-empty plates. Dawn can't help but smile.
KENNEDY
At least the kitchen is clean this time
DAWN *smiles*
I'm sorry I made you eat that.
WILLOW
Don't worry about it. I'll get us something else. Any preferences?
DAWN
As long as you don't go to the Doublemeat Palace, it fine.
KENNEDY *to Dawn*
What's wrong with the Doublemeat?
DAWN *to Kennedy*
Buffy used to work there and she used to bring dinner from there, like, every night.
WILLOW
I'll find somethine else. You two just clear this up.... and possibly clear out the smell
Willow holds her hand before her mouth and leaves.
Dawn and Kennedy suddenly realize that the stuff indeed smells very badly.
KENNEDY
It's funny how you don't notice that sort of thing until someone mentiones.
DAWN
Now I know why *she* wanted to go
