WILLPOWER DEEL 2: DECEPTION pt2

Camera is focussed on Xander, Dawn and Kennedy, sitting on the couch together.
KENNEDY
You've got to be joking. I can't do this!
Xander, Willow and Dawn are smiling.
WILLOW
Come on honey, it's not that bad.
XANDER
Yeah, she's right. It's not that bad
Xander, Willow and Dawn are finding it very hard not to burst into laughter.
Kennedy is not completely stupid and picks up on it.
KENNEDY
Are you guys making fun of me?
DAWN
No, we just....
Camera focusses on Kennedy, wearing a traditional short black dress with a white waitress apron.
KENNEDY
Look at me, for heaven's sake. You can't expect me to do this.
DAWN
I have something to convince you.
Dawn walks to the desk and comes back with a photo. She gives it to Kennedy.
DAWN
This is a possibility too
Kennedy's face turns to fear
KENNEDY
Okay guys, gotta go. Wish me luck
DAWN / XANDER / WILLOW (in unison)
Good luck!
Kennedy quickly walks to the door and goes outside.
WILLOW
How did you do that?
DAWN
Pretty good huh?
Xander picks up the picture and bursts into laughter. He hands the picture to Willow.
The picture shows Buffy in her Doublemeat Palace outfit.
DAWN
I knew it would work
The gang burst into laughter together.

The gang is sitting in the living room. The doorbell rings and Xander opens the door.
Andrew and Cindy stand there. Xander gestures for them to come in.
ANDREW *to Cindy*

CINDY
No problem at all
Cindy holds up a videotape
CINDY
Look what I brought, guys
She shows the video and it says 'Gone With The Wind'
ANDREW
She has no taste in movies. She actually said James Bond movies suck.
WILLOW
How was your first day
ANDREW *proud*
You mean as an employee at the videostore? Excellent. I can hardly believe it, I
work at the video store.
Kennedy walks in, looking tired.
ANDREW
How's your job?
KENNEDY
It's okay
WILLOW
Outfit not that bad, huh
KENNEDY
Are you kidding, I look like a bimbo. I meant that the job is not as annoying as I thought.
DAWN
That's good. You and Andrew now both have jobs you don't hate.
XANDER *ironic*
They're growing up so fast
Kennedy pushes Xander against the shoulder, but it hits much harder than expected and Xander gasps in pain.
KENNEDY
Sorry, I guess there's still some magic inside of me
XANDER
No worries... I'm good
KENNEDY
I'm gonna change.
Kennedy walks upstairs. Dawn, Willow, Cindy and Xander walk into the living room. They sit down and start talking.
Something stands in front of the window, looking inside, but nobody sees it.
WILLOW
Why don't you stay in Sunnydale?
CINDY
I don't know about that
DAWN
What's not to know? You could stay with us.
CINDY
Are you sure you want me to stay here.
DAWN
Sure, we need a slayer and you need a place to stay in Sunnydale.
CINDY
But if you want, I can always use a hotel. I already got a room
WILLOW
We would love it if you stayed here.
CINDY *smiling*
Ok then, I'll go and pick up my stuff.
Cindy exits the Summers' residence.
XANDER
Are you sure about inviting her to live with us. We barely know her.
DAWN
I think it is the right thing to do.
WILLOW
Buffy would want us to.

Cindy is sitting on the bed in her hotel room with a bunch of bags. She looks at her hand with the ring on her finger.
She doesn't look happy however. She has an angry look on her face. She shakes her hand a couple of times and closes
her eyes. After a few seconds, her eyes open wide.
CINDY *mumbles*
Dammit, what the hell is wrong with this thing?!
She takes the ring off and puts it on her other hand. It has no effect.
She picks up her bags and heads out of the room.

It is the next day. Willow is performing a spell in her bedroom. The drapes are closed but small beams
of sunlight shine from underneath them. Dawn enters the room.
DAWN
What are you doing?
WILLOW
Trying to find that ring. If Giles was right, then the ring is very powerfull.
DAWN
Was does it do exactly?
WILLOW
I don't know, but it's something magical so I can pinpoint it's location
DAWN
Can I help?
WILLOW
It something I have to do alone. Besides, I don't think Buffy would want you to.
DAWN
Would you stop with that?
WILLOW
What?
DAWN
Telling me what Buffy would want. Buffy's gone. I don't care what she would have wanted!
Having said that, Dawn exits the room. Willow looks confused for a second and then continues the spell.
The camera shifts to downstairs. Dawn comes down the stairs. Cindy and Kennedy are downstairs watching TV.
Dawn sits down and starts watching the movie.
KENNEDY
Will's gettin' busy with the magics again?
DAWN
Yeah, I offered to help, but she didn't want me to help
KENNEDY
You're better off without that magic junk.
DAWN
Magic is dangerous, I get that. But it can also do much good. I want to be able to
do something.
CINDY
Magic is not that dangerous.
WILLOW (OS)
It is when I wield it.
Camera shifts to Willow walking down the stairs. She keeps her eyes on Cindy the whole time.
CINDY
What's wrong Willow?
WILLOW (very serious)
I cast a spell to find out where the ring was.
CINDY
I see
DAWN
And? Where is it?
WILLOW
Cindy has it.
KENNEDY
No way
Kennedy looks at Cindy's hand and see a ring.
CINDY
Okay, this is not what you think.
KENNEDY (angry tone)
Then enlighten us
CINDY
I was just afraid that you would take it away from me. It is then only thing I have
of Richard. I know that he would have wanted me to have it.
DAWN
You should have told us.
CINDY
I'm sorry.
The gang seems satisfied with her answers. The gang sits down and start watching TV again.
Willow is not so easily convinced however and reads Cindy's mind telepatically.
CINDY (thoughts)
Damn, I better figure out how to make this ring work before they find out.
I've been planning this for too long to have it messed up now.
Willow's expression suddenly brightens.
Without saying a word, Willow walks back up to her room and sets up for another spell.
Again, Dawn enters.
DAWN
What are you doing now?
WILLOW
Just removing any doubts.
CINDY (yelling from downstairs)
I'm gonna patrol. See ya later.
We hear the front door slam shut.
WILLOW
Kennedy!
We hear someone running up the stairs. Kennedy comes rushing into the room
KENNEDY
What's up?
WILLOW
Did Cindy leave?
KENNEDY
Yeah, she went out to patrol
DAWN
You wanna tell me what it is exactly that you are going to do
WILLOW
I will..........

Cindy enters the Summers' house. She closes the door and walks to the living room. Noone is there.
There is a note on the table. it says:
+++Cindy, we're on patrol too at the Restfield Cemetary+++
Without a second thought, Cindy turns back to the front door.

Cindy sees Willow and Kennedy fighting a few vampires.
CINDY
Need any help?
WILLOW
We're good
In quick succession, Willow and Kennedy defeat the small group of vampires.
Willow turns to Cindy.
WILLOW
Cindy, I have questions I'd like to have answered.
Willow grabs a jar and throws it on the floor near Cindy
CINDY
What the hell are.....
Willow starts chanting in German.
When she is finished, Cindy turns into a demon.
The demon has green skin and a lot of black spots on her face.
KENNEDY
Whoa! Eh Willow, what did you do to Cindy?
CINDY
You bitch! It cost me hours to transform into this girl.
KENNEDY
You're a demon!
CINDY
Slow learner huh? I can see why Willow's in college and you're waiting tables.
Kennedy jumps at Cindy but she's too weak. Cindy hits Kennedy mid-air and Kennedy falls down; unconcious.
CINDY
She's too easy.
Willow puts her hands close to each other, just in front of her heart.
Black energy starts crackling between her hands. After two seconds, Willow pushes the energy towards
Cindy. A barrier blocks Willow's spell and the black energy dissolves.
CINDY
Come on Wiccabitch, you think I'm that easily defeated.
I knew you wouldn't buy my story about the ring. I knew you would try to find out the
truth. So I picked up a nice barrier spell.
Willow's eyes turn black. She holds her hands, palms up, and points them at Cindy, sending a stream of lightning
her way. But again, the barrier stops the energy.
WILLOW
Okay, here we go again
Willow gives a short chant and energy seems to flow into her from all directions.
Willow starts punching Cindy but Cindy blocks all Willow's attacks. Cindy starts kicking Willow and Willow doesn't
even hit Cindy. After a short fight, Willow lies on the ground, barely able to keep her head up.
She looks at Kennedy who is out cold.
CINDY
You really think you could beat me? I have been alive for more than a thousand years.
WILLOW
Then what do you need the ring for?
CINDY
That's the typical goodguy thing. You're about to get killed and all you want is information.
I have defeated many; demons and humans, but there are still people more powerfull than me,
I don't like that. I want to be the most powerfull. Then I heard of this ring.
It took me a decade to find out who had it, and when I heard he was about to become a watcher
to the new slayer.. it wasn't hard to kill her and take her place.
WILLOW
And the demons who killed him?
CINDY
I am just the luckiest demon on the planet. They wanted the ring too.
WILLOW
So one of the vampires at the warehouse had it.
CINDY
Of course.
Enough chatter! Any last words?
WILLOW
Yeah, you should have watched more James Bond movies
CINDY
Why is that?
Suddenly, a big arrow pierces Cindy's face from the back of her head and stick out between her eyes. Cindy's face
starts burning and very soon, her entire body is.
WILLOW
Because this is typical. Let the bad guy tell you everything and then kill him.
Dawn steps out of the bushes with a big smile on her face.
DAWN
It worked!
WILLOW
Yeah, it worked.
Kennedy stands up, seemingly unhurt.
KENNEDY
Perfect plan.
Willow kneels beside Cindy's corpse that has stopped burning and takes the ring from Cindy's finger.
WILLOW *pointing to the ring*
We have to do something about this thing
Back at the house, in Willow's bedroom, Willow and Dawn are sitting on the floor facing each other.
They are holding hands and the ring is on a dish between them.
They start chanting for awhile. After about a minute, the rings falls apart and the rings energy fades.
DAWN *looking exhausted*
That was it?
WILLOW *smiling*
Yeah, that was it. More exhausting than you would think huh?
Dawn nods and the two walk out of the room and downstairs where Xander, Kennedy and Andrew sit.
They are clearly discussing Cindy
ANDREW
Well, that's what you get for calling James Bond movies suck.
Everyone knows that when he gives up too easy, it is because he is always one step
ahead.
Xander and Kennedy smile. Willow and Dawn join them.
XANDER
So Dawnster, your first spell. How was it.
DAWN
Exhausting
WILLOW
Is something wrong?
DAWN *serious*
I just wonder if Buffy would approve
WILLOW
You're kidding right?
Dawn's face stays serious
XANDER
I think we have just proved that we can protect this town. You have proved that you
can handle yourself. When Buffy gets back, she'll be proud of you.
She'll be proud of us all.
ANDREW
We are the guardians of the hellmouth now.
WILLOW
Whatever is coming, we can handle it.
Outside, someone, or something stands in front of the windows, looking inside.
????
We'll see about that
