WILLPOWER DEEL 1: DECEPTION

We see a town from high up in the air. It is night, and aside from the few lights in the town, it is completely dark.
The screen fades to a sign that says, "Welcome to Sunnydale".
It is completely silent. Not a sound is heard.
The camera fades back to be high up in the air again. Only this time, it is considerably lower.
We can see a small group of persons walking through a cemetery. Carefully looking around while they walk, trying not to
make a noise.
Suddenly, a hissing noise is heard and one of the persons is turned to dust and an arrow is left on the floor.
All the persons immediately turn into their vamp-faces, revealing their true selves.
They look around but cannot see where the arrow came from. As they all look around in all directions, Kennedy jumps
out of the tree above them and quickly jams a stake through the heart of one vampire. The three remaining vampires
all turn to Kennedy and attack her. Suddenly, another arrow strikes one of the vampires in the back.
The vampire pulls the arrow out, picks up a big rock and throws it in the direction of where the arrow came from.
Kennedy swiftly slams her stake through the vampires chest.
The other two immediately lunge at Kennedy. Kennedy hits one of the vampires and he is thrown back six yards,
slamming hard against a tree.
VAMPIRE
Slayer !
KENNEDY
The one and only
Having realized who he's dealing with, the vampire turns around and quickly runs the other way. Not looking back and
running as fast as he can.
KENNEDY (yells after the vampire)
You gutless wimp, spineless coward.....
Kennedy is rudely interrupted as the vampire whom she threw against a three, attacks her while she turned her back at him.
Within seconds, the vampire, using the element of surprise, quickly gains the upper hand and has his hand firmly around
Kennedy's neck. As the vampire lunges for her throat, the vampire suddenly begins to shake and burn. His grip loosens
around Kennedy's neck and he combusts into ashes.
KENNEDY (catching her breath)
Couldn't you have just done that to them all in the first place?
WILLOW (stepping out of the shadows, smiling)
Everyone needs to know there's a slayer in town or there will be trouble.
KENNEDY
But there isn't one. This power I have here is just magic.
WILLOW (glares at Kennedy)
This is just as good as slayer power
KENNEDY
Well I don't mean to say it's not effective. It is. A lot.
It's just that...
*beat* Sooner or later, the demon world will find it out.
WILLOW
Yeah, probably. But we gotta keep going until we find Buffy.
So let's try to make it later, rather than sooner.
KENNEDY (trying to sound sarcastic)
Yeah, we gotta keep trying..... cause that will make everything ok
WILLOW
What? You think we should give up on Buffy?
KENNEDY
We've been waiting for amost three months. She's not coming back Willow.
It's just us and Dawn.
Dawn!!
Dawn stumbles out of the bushes, holding a crossbow with one hand and holding her other hand over her forehead, which
is quite obviously bleeding.
DAWN
I killed two of them, and ow!
WILLOW
That was five vampires at once. But we did excellent..
DAWN
Yeah, it's just that...
KENNEDY
No, we did fine. We have everything under control.
DAWN
Well, actually....
Dawn points over to a crypt about fourty feet away. Before the crypt stand two vampires who each run in different
directions.
KENNEDY
Me and my big mouth
Quickly, Willow raises her hands and a bolt of lightning strikes from her hands into one of the vampires.
The other one is out of her sight now, however. Kennedy is already in pursuit. She quickly reaches the
vampire and kicks him in the back. The vampire stands up quickly and they stand face to face. The vampire
tries to land a hit but Kennedy blocks his attack and lands a hit on the vampires face.
This time, the vampire doesn't even blink and just smiles. He lands a series of hits that make Kennedy collapse
in pain. Standing over her, he is ready to finish her as he sees Willow approaching.
Thinking the better of it, the vampire quickly runs into the night.
Willow runs over to Kennedy, who is clearly in some pain. Willow supports Kennedy as they walk off
KENNDY
Just as good as slayer power right?
WILLOW
I'm working on it.

It's morning now. We are at the Summers' residence. Dawn is making scrambled eggs for Kennedy as Willow is running
around the house. Xander enters through the front door. Xander, Dawn and Kennedy say a quick good-morning.
xander then goes upstairs to find Willow.
XANDER
That anxious huh? I'll never understand you.
WILLOW (surprised)
Oh, Xander! I didn't hear the doorbell
XANDER
Dawn gave me a key, remember?
WILLOW
Right...
XANDER (smiles)
Willow, are you okay?
WILLOW
Xander, I wanna graduate this year. With all the stuff that went down last
year, I didn't graduate. I failed a year! I'm a disgrace to myself and everyone
around me and.....
She suddenly gets a grip on herself as she sees Xander smiling at her.
WILLOW
I mean, I'm fine.
XANDER
Good to know. You need a lift?
WILLOW
Yeah thanks
Xander and Willow walk downstairs. Apparently, Willow's rant did her some good as she seems a little more relaxed.
XANDER
Coming Dawnster?
DAWN
Right!
XANDER / DAWN (in unison)
Bye Kennedy, good luck today!
They look at each other; stunned that they said exactly the same thing at the same time.
After a couple seconds they smile and walk to the front door.
WILLOW *to Kennedy*
Good luck today
KENNEDY *sighs*
I'm gonna need it

"It is night again in the town of Sunnydale. Willow and Dawn are watching TV in the living room of the Summers'
residence. Xander and Andrew enter.
XANDER
Hi girls
DAWN
Hi Xand
WILLOW
Hi
ANDREW *excited*
Ooh, is that Star Wars?
Willow and Dawn give each other a quick look before the TV suddenly turns itself off.
WILLOW
Of course not
Now, Xander and Andrew give each other a quick look and a smile escapes their face.
XANDER
You know, mr Skywalker here has eaten all of our popcorn in a single day.
ANDREW *explains*
Star Wars marathon, guys. You can't not have popcorn with that!
WILLOW
I'll go get some. You got the movies?
Xander holds the bag he is holding up
XANDER
Right here. I'll come with you.
Willow takes her coat and she and Xander walk out of the front door.

Willow and Xander walk toward a shop. A sign says that it's open 24 hours a day.
WILLOW
What an idiots. At night in a public place in a town like Sunnydale.
XANDER
You'd think people would know better
Suddenly, a loud noise comes from an alley behind them.
WILLOW
Xand?
XANDER
Yeah?
WILLOW
Any construction work going on here at night?
XANDER
No. Any chance it's not a demon?
Willow gives Xander a knowing look.
XANDER
Right, why did I even ask?
Willow and Xander turn walk to the alley. As they enter the allay, they see a blonde woman and an older man in a
fight with six vampires. The girl fights with skill, but there are just too many vampires.
Willow mutters some words and a bolt of lightning shoots from her hands that arcs through three vampires.
XANDER
Way to go Will!
With the amount of vampires down from six to three, the girl and the man quickly overpower the remaining vampires.
XANDER *quiet to Willow*
I guess we can stop worrying who's gonna be the next slayer
The girl and the man turn to them.
GIRL
Are you Buffy Summers?
WILLOW
Well, no. I'm Willow, a friend of Buffy and this is Xander
Xander greets the girl by smiling.
GIRL
Thanks a lot for the help. There were to much of them.
WILLOW
No problem. Eh, who are you
GIRL
Sorry, I'm forgetting my manners. I'm Cindy.. the Vampire Slayer.
MAN
And I'm her watcher Richard
CINDY
We were on out way to Buffy's house. I've been chosen as the new slayer
and we were kinda hoping she could teach me about being the slayer.
WILLOW
You're out of luck. Buffy's been missing for three months.
CINDY
Well, that's disspointing
RICHARD
In that case, we will leave town again tonight.
WILLOW
Or not... you could stay here. This town really needs a slayer
CINDY
Yeah right, you just killed three vamps just by raising your hands
WILLOW
Magic can't do everything.
WILLOW
Why don't you come home with us and we can talk about it.
XANDER
I have this thing about dark alleys at night in this town...
Cindy and Richard look at each other
RICHARD
Ok then, let's go

Willow, Xander, Cindy and Richard arrive at the Summers' residence. Xander opens the front door.
XANDER
Next stop, casa Summers
With that, they all walk in. They're greeted by Andrew, Dawn and Kennedy, who has gotten home by now.
ANDREW
Where's the popcorn?
XANDER
Everyone, meet Cindy the Vampire Slayer
Dawn, Kennedy and Andrew smile at Cindy.
RICHARD
I'm her watcher Richard; Richard Cale. Nice to meet you all
DAWN
You know, both of you are a lot more civil than most slayers or watchers
Cindy and Richard smile at each other.
WILLOW *to Dawn, Kennedy and Andrew*
I'm trying to convince Cindy to stay in Sunnydale.
Kennedy seems a little upset by that, but she's subtle and nobody seems to notice it.
Everyone takes a seat and Richard starts talking about himself and Cindy.
RICHARD
Cindy got called a couple of months ago. We didn't know she was a potential.
We found her shortly after she was called.
I've been in hiding since the Council of Watchers headquarters got destroyed,
waiting for a chance to make it all right. When I heard that a new slayer
was chosen, I choose myself to be her watcher.
XANDER
She learnt the moves fast
CINDY
Natural slayer abilities
XANDER
You didn't do bad either Richard, what's your deal.
RICHARD
I'd prefer to keep that a secret.
The gang keeps talking about everything slayer related. Kennedy sneaks out of the rooms and heads for the
phone. She starts dialing a long number. The scene starts shifting back and forth to opposite sides of the line.
GILES
Rupert Giles here.
KENNEDY
Hi Giles, it's Kennedy
GILES
Kennedy? Is everything okay? Have you found Buffy?
KENNEDY
Sorry, we haven't found Buffy. Willow is using her magics to search the earth, but
it is like finding a needle in a haystack the size of New York if you ask me.
GILES *sounding a bit dissapointed*
What's up then?
KENNEDY
We have the new slayer here... so it seems, and her watcher.
He says his name is Richard Cale.
GILES
I know him. He's a bit unorthodox, but he's a good guy.
KENNEDY
What do you mean unorthodox.
GILES
He fights with the slayer, literally. He has some sort of power.
But since he's only human, it is suspected that it is some sort of magic.
The scene goes back to the living room. The discussion has been put off in favor of some drinks.
Kennedy walks into the living room again and takes a seat. She doesn't mention the phonecall.
Suddenly, a demon jumps through the window. Several more follow until the house is crowded with demons.
The gang tries to fight them off, but they're in a disadvantage; they weren't prepared.
Suddenly, the demons all exit the house as quickly as they came.
WILLOW
Everyone okay?
XANDER
Yeah
DAWN
Fine
KENNEDY
I'm good
ANDREW
A little sore, but alive
They look for Cindy and see her sitting on the floor next to her watcher. The watcher is lying on the floor
with his eyes closed.
CINDY
He's dead
WILLOW
They came for him?
DAWN
So it would appear, but why?
CINDY
Something's missing. His ring, he never takes it oof. It's missing.
KENNEDY
That must be where his magical power comes from.
Willow looks at her with a questioning look.
KENNEDY
I called Giles to ask about Richard Cale. Giles said that he was a good guy
who fights along with the slayer with powers that are believed to be magical.
WILLOW
You called Giles?
KENNEDY
Kinda
DAWN
Why didn't you tell us?
KENNEDY
It didn't seem important. He's a watcher and a good guy, and that's what I needed
to know.
CINDY
We have to get it back. We have to find them.
WILLOW
I can help with that.

The entire gang gather at the back of a warehouse. They are heavily armed and expexting the same kind of resistance
they encountered earlier. But now they are prepared.
CINDY
That locator spell seems usefull, can you teach me?
DAWN
Don't waste your time. I've asked her a billion time already.
WILLOW
....ready guys?
With that, Cindy kicks in the backdoor of the warehouse and the gang pours into the warehouse where they are greeted
by almost fifteen demons.
XANDER
Ok, Will, now would be a good time.
Willow tries the same spell she did earlier and a bolt of lightning arcs through three demons. The demons aren't
as easy as the vampires though. Willow concentrates and intensifies the lightning bolt until the three demons
collapse. Willow's nose is bleeding and her hair eyes are black.
Meanwhile, the rest of the gang is in a standoff position around Willow, ready to defend.
Dawn, who is armed with a crossbow, shoots an arrow directly in one of the demon's eyes.
XANDER
Are you sure you're not a slayer? You shoot like Robin Hood.
The gang keeps fighting the demons off while Willow casts spells to kill the demons.
When there are only a handfull demons left, Willow falls on the ground.
The rest of the gang has no problem in dealing with the few demons left however and the demons are defeated.
Kennedy, Xander and Dawn all rush to Willow as Cindy searches the bodies of the demons.
Willow seems to be alright. Just very much drained. She's very weak but still able to walk.
CINDY
It's not here
WILLOW
They must have gave it to someone else
DAWN
Or the boss got away

Back at the house, the gang goes to sleep. Cindy is given a sleeping bag and is offered to camp on the couch.
Cindy agrees and the gang goed upstairs, clearly tired.
When they're upstairs, Cindy reaches in her pocket and takes something out of it. She holds it close to her
face as if she wants to study it intensively. It is a ring.
A wicked smile appears on Cindy's face and a quiet laugh comes out.
