Solace made her way the the exit of the docking bay just as Leon passed her by. She grimmaced as she glanced at him, just catching his eye before he turned down one of the corridoors.
As casually as she could, Solace turned down the opposite corridoor.
There has got to be a bridge around here somewhere...or rec room...quarters, something...I mean, damn, I have no fucking idea where I am....
Few moments later
"How...in gods name...."
Solace sighed deeply as she found herself back in the docking bay.
"I went in a god damned circle..."
She ground her teeth slightly, doing her best to subdue her anger. She took in a deep breath and pndered what to do next. Suddenly she slammed her palm into her forhead as a sudden realization occured to her.
"FUCK! Why didnt I think of that before!"
With that Solace ran twords her ship, hopping into the cock pit. Turning on the nuetral systems, Solace patched into the computer frame, keeping her fingers crossed that this would work.
"Computer, give me a direct link to Free City, opperation code beta569-9923-4420."
There was a moment of silence when suddenly a voice came through the channel, the connection a bit scartchy due to the distance.
"Name and purpouse?"
"Dev, this is Solace, I need to speak to Toise asap."
The voice on the other end hesitated for a moment, then sighed, sounding less proffesional the seconed time around.
"Solace, havn't heard from you in a while. But I cant patch you thru to Toise, even you know better to use an open channel."
Solace rolled her eyes, her tone getting a bit harsher.
"Yeah yeah, I realize Dev, but I cant use the secure channel at this distance, and I NEED to speak to Toise NOW!"
"Sorry Solace, there is nothing I ca.."
Solace slammed her fist on the control counsole, her eyes narrowing feircly.
"Patch me thru to him NOW! Or Ill deal with YOU when I get back to Free City, got it?!"
There was another pause.
"...Alright, Ill have topatch you thru with the holo. But he isnt going to like this...."
"I dont care what the fuck he likes, I just want to talk to him."
After a moment of static, a small yellowish holographic projection appeared infront of Solace showing a mans face, with semi-long hair and a very stern expression.
"This better be good Solace, I dont have time for anything else."
"Eh..charming as ever I see. Dont worry I wont keep you, just want a little information thats all."
Toise sighed deeply and shook his head, glaring back at Solace.
"Information? And this is information that you couldnt have gotten elswhere?"
Solace grinned and leaned back, shrugging slightly.
"What can I say, you were the first person I thought of to go to for assistence."
"Mmmm...I dont think Ill take that as a compliment...So, what is it that you need to know?"
Solace leaned forward, a look slightly menacing falling across her features.
"Well, since you are the employer of we small time bounty hunters, I thought you might have information on some of the latest...prospectors."
"Mmm...got a name?"
"Well...Im not sure, it was something with a 'V'...Victor...Vincent....Virgil...."
Toise thought for a moment, then went to his own database, typing in a scan location.
"There really isnt anything much here that will help you. But as far as the logs go, there is one prospector by the name of...Virgil Akamatsu I believe. But besides the physical, there isnt much on him, most of the files are sealed...and I dont have the level clearence to get that information. But if your looking for him,then he is on the Bounty list."
Solace thought for a moment.
"Well, all I need is a description."
"Alright then...."
As Toise read of the file to Solace, Solace looked out the cockpit to where Virgil stood, her eyes lighting up ever so slightly as Toise read on. Solace looked back to Toise and smilled wickedly.
"Thanks Toise, thats all I needed to know."
"You sure? It says here that Virg.."
"No, thats all. Thanks for the help though."
Suddenly Solace broke the connection and leaned back in her seat, grinning wickedly.
So I couldnt get my hands on Serendipity...though she is still a possability as a prospector....so Ill go for the next best thing, maybe coming here wasnt all that bad of an idea....
