 Solace gasped sharply as a searing white heat ripped thru her chest. It wasnt what she had expected to happen, many times before had she been shot in various places at point blank range, but each time she knew it was coming. This time it was different.
Solace stared back at Leon, not an expression of anger or hate, but a mix of surprise and pain. She gripped at her chest where the hole had been made, her eyes never leaving Leons. She stumbled back once, one corner of her lip curled slightly upward as if she were about to grin approval, then her eyes rolled back as she toppled over, landing hard on her backside.
Once she hit the floor, a shockwave of burning pain went thru her body. She rolled over, trying to lift herself off the floor, but to no avail. The floor beneath her began to turn into a large puddle of a dark red oil substance as Solace bleed from the wound in her chest plate as well as the blood she began to cough up. Finally her body gave into the pain and loss of blood and Solace fell back to the floor, her internal repair systems trying their best to repair the damage to her heart and chest plate.
Her breathing slowed to an almost stand still as she stared unblinkingly at the wall, lying on her stomach in an evergrowing pool of her own blood. And the only though to cross her mind was:
...well...at least it wasnt in the back....
