 Dugan heard the explosion and knew that a hole had been blown in the docking bay. He quickly boarded his ship, the Truth, and prepared for takeoff. After a quick pre-flight check he was off the hanger floor and leaving the yamato4 before any mechanics could get a word in edge wise.
"Thuro, this is Dugan. I'll assume our friends are on the other side of the whole you just put in the docking bay. I'm on my way to help."

Looking at the hole Dugan realized he would never fit through. He quickly fired a volley of laser blasts that put enough room for the Thruth to pass through. As soon as Dugan passed through the hole his eyes confirmed the sensor readings that a battle was raging in front of him. He assumed the well armed fully functional mechs were the enemies and the beaten up hunks of junk were his friends. Dugan sent out a message on all frequencies.

"Virgil, are you out here? I'd hate to be wasting my time shooting down people I don't even have any problems with."
