((OOC: Redd, I think you're somewhat overestimating the severity of my mother's illness. She's not dead nor dying, and she won't be for quite a few decades I'm sure.))

Sang looked at Avon and shook her head. "I'm pregnant, not crippled, you know? I won't even start becoming fat for a few days. But alright, I'll be a good girl and wait untill the direst of emergencies before going into the frenzy."
She planted a quick kiss on his cheek.
"Now stop worrying about me, ok?"

RJ took a look at the computer which had been accused of being broken. Looked fine to him.
What's this log though? I've never heard of any Tarui. Wait a sec... it's from that ship we passed a few hours ago!

By the time RJ had arrived at the room Redd was in, he had already regained his cool. Foaming at the mouth in anger wasn't his style, after all, so he never was very good at keeping that up for very long.
"Oh, Re-hedd?" came the sweet-as-honey voice. "did you know that breaking Communication Silence during times of stealth is generaly considdered a tactical error? Did you also know that thanks to your desire for meaningless lovestories we've now got a Fortress Ship on our tail?"

RJ showed her what a Fortress Ship looked like. It somewhat resembled the Eclipse, though instead of carrying fighters with it, it had three dreadnoughts and a carriership tugging along. It's escort, two dozen cruisers, shouldn't be too far behind. It's main armament seemed to consist of a battery of Black Hole Cannons, which do exactly what it sounds like.

"Now that you're perfectly aware of our predicament, I'd like to point out that we are a frigate. I do hope you're happy, because our chances of making it out alive have just gone out the window."

He sighed, looking down on her. What was he supposed to do with her? He had sworn to bring her home, alive. But she made it so incredibly hard for him sometimes. At times like this he wondered if that immortaly long life of hers had damaged her somehow. She didn't seem to have a clue as to how things were done in modern times. Instead, she was drowning herself in bubbly laughter, hollow romances and blind optimism, as if she was a little girl, frightened of the Big Mean Truth.
How could you not pity something like that?

"Look, uh.. you stay here and read some more stories, ok? I think Seidou has some really well-written stories somewhere. I'll take Mitak and Tero and deal with our problem."

He turned around and walked out the door. He'd killed quite a few people, and was indirectly responsible for the death of hundreds of people. But this would be the first time he was going to kill his own. And what's worse, there were over 100.000 people over there...
