The gray mare was fine of bone with delicate curves. She showed no signs of the strain of carrying a foal. Her body was still as beautiful as when she was a young filly. The mare whinnied to the stallion playfully. He interested her. The colt romped farther and farther away from his dam. He was growing older and older. He was also growing larger.
