FROM EVERYTHING I'VE BEEN ABLE TO FIND ON THE BOERBOEL
IT WOULD BEST BE DESCRIBED AS A "UTILITY BREED".
ABLE TO DO MANY THINGS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
HERDING,PROTECTION,CATCH DOG,BABYSITTER,ETC.ETC.
I DOUBT THAT VERY FEW IF ANY BOERBOELS WILL EVER
COMPETE AT THE LEVEL A WELL BREED GSD OR MAL DOES
IN THE PROTECTION PHASE OF ANY OF THE DOGGIE SPORTS.
ONE OF THE BIG CONCERNS FOR ME IS "THE SPLINTER GROUPS".
EXAMPLE:BREEDER BOB IS WORKING HIS DOGS IN SCHUTZHUND,
HE SELLS A PUP TO BUYER KEN WHO IS VERY IMPRESSED WITH
WHAT BREEDER BOB DOES WITH HIS DOGS,SO HE STARTS TO
TRAIN HIS DOG{S} THE SAME AS BREEDER BOB.
BUYER KEN SOON BECOMES BREEDER KEN AND SNOWBALLS FROM
THERE.
THEN THIS GROUP STARTS TO BREED DOGS TO BE COMPETETIVE
IN THIER PREFERRED ACTIVITY AND COMPROMISES THE
TEMPERMENT OF THIER DOGS.
AS ALWAYS THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.
