Thanks Norm and good luck to you.

Hi A Laura,

The way they play goes like this. Imagine a 70-75 lb. 5 mo. old uncoordinated Boerboel pup with a 70 lb. yo-yo on an invisible string. When the yo-yo is coming back it seems to be coming back stronger than when its going and it smacks into the BB pup. The pup repositions his seating position a little and looks at the yo-yo, as it is going away again as if it were crazy. He has tried to chase and swat at the yo-yo but the thing is just too fast.

I like doing alot of distraction training with Kayla and I've been able to do it successfully with other smaller dogs in the past. Since Goliath is usually so laid back I decided to do it with her while Goliath roamed free, she would do sit and stay but it seemed as if Goliath saw it as an opportunity to exact his revenge and would come flying into her and knock her off balance and then he would try to mount her. Thats where she would brake the stay altogether.

Needless to say I think the yo-yo is a little too big & fast for the pup still. I don't want her to hurt his confidence but I also don't think it is fair to let him just ram into her, so I have temporarily restricted his play time with the rest of the family only. But it is hilarious watching them interact.
