Sara, how long have you been a breeder and how many litters have you bred?
I like to know that my puppies have homes waiting for them when they are born and not find myself in the position of quite a few who found themselves with pups, no buyers, and are then reduced to almost giving them away just to get them out of the yard.
This question about returning a deposit is silly. What do you think a deposit is? What obligation does it place on the breeder who accepts the deposit? Is there not equal responsibility on the buyer? I try not to deal with children. Adults honor their commitments and don't make them until they know what they are doing. Go read my website and see if my "Deposit Policy" is not clearly understandable!
(as far as my "not refunding the deposit" to a particular person. She and I discussed the matter and her problem was having too many puppies of the same age at the same time. Difficulties in training them. I totally agree with her thinking and she still wants one of my pups. We mutually agreed to let her move back to a litter in 4 or 5 months from now.)
