I went back and reread your first post on demodex and you contradicted your stance early on even there. Since the Immune system is the problem and all dogs have the mites already how can a dog come down with demodex without a week immune system and then why can't all dogs that come down with demodex be traced back to another actively infected dog? All dogs have the Mites, therefore any dog with a week immune system that is stressed in any way enough to hurt can develope demodex. Any Vet or human doctor will always tell you to err on the side of caution when dealing with week immune system problems and diseases that take advantage of that. Therefore any dog or pup that shows demodex has a immune system problem either due to another illness, stress, or heredity. Good immune system no demodex. I say again for the record, demodex is not contagious. It is a sign of an immune defiency and until it can be said with complete certainty why or where that came from, any responsible dog owner or breeder will make sure it stops with them. I plan to call your sourses tomorrow and because I have talked to so many vets already, I know they will have to agree with the facts. Caution is fine, but it won't repair an immune system, I'm sorry.
