Jerry I think you misinterpreted my statement. Partly because you quoted me and then misquoted me in the same paragraph. I didn't say "business and good ehtics DO NOT go together", I said, "business and ETHICAL ISSUES don't go WELL together".

Eg.
1) Hospitals not treating a patient because of a lack of insurance.
2) A church taking money from its members to then put up a $20,000 alter, while children starve a couple of blocks away.
3) Nike having 10 yr old children in Asia working in sweat shops for the production of Nikes clothing.
4) A breeder unnecessarilly and unnaturally force breeding two dogs that they "think" go well together and then killing the pups that turn out to be unacceptable to the breeders standards (whatever they may be) and all for the sake of the breeders pocket book and/or self-fulfillment. All the while MILLIONS of HEALTHY muts and pure breds are being euthanized each year in shelters, but the breeder believes that their actions are good because it is for the "betterment of the breed"!!!

This is what I meant by, "business and ethical issues don't go well together". If you go back to my past four examples in this post, you will see that as pure business sense these are perfectly acceptable practices. But once you mix in the ethics portion, now it becomes a problem. And if you now go back to your last post, you'll see that this same rule also applies.

BTW, I was kidding about the free pups

and your last statement,

'I hope my hobby brings in more money than I spend. It hasn't so far, but if and when it does I'll not apologize for it.'

Thank you for your honesty Jerry,
Dan G.
