to be fair here.....yes...there WAS a time when jb was not as (shall we say) 'kind' in his responses to those whom he felt were not correct in something they had to say.
he had, at the time, the reputation of biting first and growling later.
it scared many people away from making any comment that disagreed with either himself or those who have been happy with him.
no...i have no proof to offer you...the archives don't go back that far.
and no, i can't name dates and names because i didn't think i'd ever have cause to remember them.
but...it did happen and there are those on this board who remember it.
now...i am not bashing jb. i'm simply stating a fact.
there may have been things going on in his personal life at the time that made him more 'edgy'; there could have been a hundred reasons for it, but it WAS there and it IS remembered.
some do not believe an outside, personal influence was at fault or feel a leopard may change it's spots so quickly. that's why you see some of the comments you do.
