I just wanted to commend you on your choice to have Kimba neutered and placed in a loving, pet home. I know what a difficult choice it is to make. I just had two of the bitch pups I kept from my litter prolapse. I plan to have them spayed soon and to keep them as pets.

I did get some information from a breeder in South Africa I work closely with as relates to prolapse. According to his info from other breeders and from the SABT, there is no family of boerboels totally free of vaginal prolapses. At this point in time, the only solution is to spay females who exhibit the problem so they are not used for breeding. And spaying is the one solution to not having the problem reoccur.

My best wishes that Kimba finds a wonderful forever home where she will be a beloved member of the family.
