When I first posted on this subject, I did ask that input from the Boerboel community be directed to my e-mail...it was, and thanks to those that responded with enthusiastic and helpful ideas.

Mr. Koch and the board of the HBSA have a clear vision of what the historically correct Boerboel should be. The appraisal process has always been a uniquely African invention, and will remain so. Any ideas or concerns about the appraisal process as a whole should be directed to Mr. Carel Koch at info@boerboelfederation.co.za. My interest and request for input will remain solely about the testing procedures for one distinct area of appraisal… Working temperament and ability.

I want to be clear on my invitation, and my intent, to assist the board of the HBSA. I am only asked, and only focused, on the formation and execution of testing in regard to working temperament and working agility of the Boerboel at appraisal. I will still be visiting with those of you willing to help with this endeavor. Your ideas and help are of great value to me, and I will assimilate and forward the procedures deemed to be the most meaningful to the HBSA for their approval, modification, or rejection. If they accept our ideas in whole or in part, deciding how to incorporate these ideas into their process will be absolutely at their discretion.
