I feel that I need to jump in here because this is the SECOND time in a few weeks that one of my dogs has been slandered on this board without my consent or knowledge. I am the owner of the pup Robin is talking about. Blackwell's Too Bad, aka "Ammo" has been all that I can hope for in a Boerboel. I drove from NY to Oklahoma to meet John and Barbara, who couldn't have been more welcoming and wonderful. I drove out there with the full knowledge that I would be meeting a pup with demodex who was on the way to recovery. John was completely honest about Ammo's condition and his treatments. I also would like to point out that he had planned on keeping this dog, but once Ammo contracted the mange, he did not want to risk ever breeding him and just wanted him placed in a pet home. He did not charge me for the dog, and also insisted that I drive out there because he wanted to make sure Ammo ended up in a great home. Ammo has been mange-free for several months now, he has a beautiful coat, and is everything a BB should be. He is intelligent, protective, loves our other dogs, adores children, and is a great ambassador for the breed. My only complaint is that he snores unbelievably loud :) I just wanted to set the record straight -first Terry lies about my other BB Ranger on this board, and now this. If I have something to say about either of my dog's breeders, I am perfectly capable of saying it myself. I learned a lesson after getting Ranger from Ronnie Swart/Ellen, which is why I am thrilled to have dealt with someone as honest and forthcoming as John Blackwell.
