Dan , Great, As Usual you go right to the heart of the question. Remember, We are talking about the immune system and the ability to fight off an infestation of these mites. This is the primary reason why people breed demodex dogs and don't realize it. Being female and all that entails from heat, pregnancy, birth, and the following care required, this is the greatest type of stress she is ever likely to endure. If she is at her best, which by the way is standard policy for humans, she is more likely to have healthy and more robust pups, therfore stronger to fight off even things they might be more susceptible to. Get It? It reasons and is totally parrallel with our own views of human health.
