It will take several generations of the boerboels to clean up what has been done to this breed in South Africa. Trying to improve hip scores and breeding better dogs with such is the only way it will be done.
There will be some who will not want to do this because it will be expensive.
Let's just hope no one does a breeding again with a dog that they know has bad hips and then calls it a "test breeding". And then passes the puppies on to several other people who have to deal with the problems later.
