No, Terry. I simply report what I see and then ask if the old theory fits the actual events. It doesn't, so there must be another answer.
I actually DO know the difference between Demodex and Sarcoptic mange, but even if I didn't my vets do. They are where I go for diagnosis of problems.
You were not there and only heard......so you pass it on as if it were fact. and then you presume to know what I tell people about breeding their dogs.
Actually, I did have one litter of ABs that had a lot of pups develope Demodex. Bitch was co-owned by me and I bred the litter and sold the puppies-and replaced the puppies. The bitch was never bred again and I had no more mangy AB pups. One litter in 14 years of breeding. I really don't think that is too bad a record.
