I have a Gregory Master 6A 16 alto mouthpiece in near mint condition. I bought it from a collector in USA for over US$350. Very nice tone when I use it with Vandoren Java 2.5 reed and a BG metal ligature. Recently, I bought a Gregory Model-A alto mouthpiece (same model used by Paul Desmond) but mine has a 5 tip opening and larger chamber 20. Model-A sounds very much like my Master, but the former is a bit darker and slightly more easy to blow.

I have played vintage Selmer soloist style and modern Meyer mouthpieces (both are hard rubber). I have to say Gregory sounds much better than both of them.

I am still testing playing them side by side, and I think I will retain only one of them in future.
