I think the sound of collector model is darker than regular model. Maybe because Selmer used the “honey gold” lacquer for this collector edition (or maybe because of my soloist mouthpiece…. I guess it might be better if we use the Super Session mouthpiece bundled with this sax.). As told by the salesperson, Selmer invented this lacquer to mirror the one they used for Balance Action and Mark VI series. From the collector point of view, the collector edition is sure a good choice as the engravings are very beautiful. The bird and flowers engraved under the collector model are more precise & detail than the regular model.

p.s. the salesperson told me that the next collector series would be based on series III tenor. Just donno who / which continent Selmer would tribute to.
