Pretty neat! There is a couple of companies in Europe that have this already. I don't know if theirs has more range but I heard that the Garmin model has about the same range as a 5 watt radio. Not enough for the mountains for sure. Most of the time it would be alright but those tracking collars still have better range. I do think that I would be fine with the Garmin's range but I wonder what the battery life is on them? ANy way, when they get this thing figured out for long life and long range tracking...I'm in. Nothing sucks like loosing a really good cat dog. Definately a great thing for guides also. That would make it pretty easy for a guide to captain a hunt. Dan McD.
