Subject: DNA and multiple sires

Just something I've been seeing on various sites lately. The game goes like this, you breed a female to two (or more I guess theoretically) males and then DNA the pups. The upside to this is that in one fell swoop a guy could breed those two studs he was torn between to his jam-up female without waiting for that 2nd heat and the year or however long it takes to raise that first litter.
The one downside I can definitely see is the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality which I could surely understand.
Oh yeah, one more hurdle, the registry would have to approve if the resulting pups were to be registered.
Just curious as to what the general concensus would be to this so y'all go ahead and chime in.
