I know a fella that has about 60 bird dogs and excercises them often. He pulls a narrow trailer with horizontal metal bars attached to the trailer that extend about three feet past the trailer on each side. To these, he has three way couplers hanging down, the dogs cannot get under the trailer and get hurt. He pulls about 24 dogs at a time and uses a four wheeler to pull the trailer. If pulling with a pickup, you could extend a bar behind the truck and attach a coupler for the dog and he should be safe. I have attached one bar to the rack of my four wheeler and can pull two dogs easily. The best excercise for the dogs and the owners, of course, is to get them in the woods. Dan N
