Subject: Survey Questions 6 and 7

I don't know how we could have made the question any more clear. We are not discussing the double-merle or "albino" white and that seems to be the crucial part of your question, Sparkieg. Steve told me he had not registered any double-merle dogs for a long time. So we didn't think that needed to be said in the question.
Saying where the white is does have plenty to do with it. I don't like the name,(Irish Spotting) but it IS what geneticists use to describe the type of white which has always been in our dogs. Irish Spotting can produce white on the feet and chest, possibly (not usually) on the legs, and occasionally on the underneath portion from the chest to between the back legs, rarely a tip will appear on the tail or a blaze on the face.
Piebald or sometimes called "Walker" white is different. It will often produce white in the saddle between the withers and hips. I have never talked to any Leopard guy that wants his Leopard to look like a Walker, or Goodman,or Hudspeth, or any other of the tri-colored/spotted breeds.
