Rex, I finally got it right. I have 6 month old pups that are grandpups to Jake and Ellie that are gettin it done. I have reports on three that are more than started. There is leopard spotted male that is pretty timid, but a natural. He was treeing house cats at three months, and now running wild races and treeing on his own game, and staying treed.(Not necessarily straight however, ha!ha!). A different friend has a high tan that stuck off from his old dog Sunday night, ran a track 150 yards up a creek and treed. He stayed treed by himself until the old dog pulled and came to him! It was in a hemlock and he couldn't shine the coon, but was sure there was a coon there. I kept a solid black pup that I haven't started yet because I almost lost him to Parvo and he is just now back in shape.
