What does it mean to be a 'Fan' of someone? Who can I be a 'Fan' of?


Answer :
On Friendster, being a 'Fan' of someone is different than being a Friend. By stating you are a Friend of someone you and the other person are stating that you know each other and are joined to their network of friends. Those Friends show up in your network, searches, and affect things like popular network search results, top books in your network, and the like.

To be a 'Fan' on Friendster means you want that person and others to know you are a fan of theirs. Unlike being a Friend, being a Fan of someone does not link you to other Fan's friend networks, nor does it make you actually part of that person's network. You can be a fan of any Official Friendster Profile. Please note that you cannot be made a Friend of an official profile.

So why be a Fan? Being a Fan is another way to let people know more about who you are and what you like. Being a Fan of a contestant in the 'Apprentice' for example lets people see that you like the show and who you are rooting for. You can also see other Fans who might share other interests of yours.
