In reply to: IDers Rock The Dance World 's message, "if you have strong enough feet- but just wondering- what does it do to your feet if you do go on point with ghillies?" on 14:58:55 06/02/03 Mon

you can injure your toes, toenails, strain your arch ... etc., etc. It puts a great deal of pressure on the toe joints and any number of injuries can occur depending on your strength to begin with. These soft shoes are not designed for this ... I've taken ballet ... they're not pointe shoes! I don't care if everyone's doing it ... it's not a good thing!

but you are in point shoes for a longer period of time, when in ghillies you are usually on point in your step for 30 seconds. Not untill you are 12 or older, though, should you even go on point. Like you said before you need to have strong legs, feet, etc. and that usually doesn't happen untill you are in you teens. I would really suggest all ID's take ballet though, if you don't do! It really does help! (NT)No name19:37:23 06/02/03 Mon
