Thanks for your 2 cents Kim. But it's worth alot more than that for sure!!!
As far as us riders portraying a tough image, ya part of me wants people to think I'm a bad ass, but on the other hand, we are trying to dispell the myth that if you ride a bike and wear black leather that you're a hell raising, bottle smashing, women grabbing, bunch of hellians. Those are the 1%ers, meaning that 99% of riders are decent people, it's the 1% that make that their lifestyle. As for the black leather, it actually serves a purpose, if you go down, heaven forbid, it protects us against road rash.
As far as your second paragraph about the men who didn't treat you right, like you said, most of the time I am a mild mannered person, but it's people like that that push my buttons. My wife experienced mistreatment also, sho would never let me meet her dad, he's dead now, may he rot in hell, I know-I know I should forgive, but it's allfull hard to. Nor will she tell me the name of the male babysitter her and her sister had, she knows what I'll do to them, can you say anger mangement counciling?? How can these sick people do this crap? I know this may not mean as much coming from a man, but if there was any way I could get ahold of these scum I'd probably break a commandment or two. Forgive me for my strong feelings, but I am human and these carbon based oxygen wasting lumps of crap don't even come close. I tell you what, my daughter is 12 now, she's starting to develope into a woman, if any jerk even thinks of looking at her crooked, all those teddy bear bikers will show their 1%er side.
I'm sorry to rant, but I guess I feel some guilt just being a man. And I know these scum will get theirs in the end, but ..... well let's just leave it at that.
