This is an interesting question. Especially in this day and time.

In Jan of 2004 there will be no more Districts and the Mission Centers will be in full operation. Districts have really been IMO what has really kept the smaller congregations connected to other congregations. Being from a small congregation, for me, it has been vital that from time to time I get to worship with a larger group. It is my understanding that we may have only ONE Mission Center Conference a year. If this is so I fear that many congregations will find themselves isolated and turned inward. I do not like this idea at all.

I will seek out other ways for my personal spiritual nourishment. I will attend retreats, classes, conferences and celebrations as often as possible. IMO it is important that we keep connected (even if we have to improvise ways to do this).
