There aren't royalty problems with any of the BBC Radio stations. They were FTA for 13 years since move last May.Even now the BBC is broadcasting them FTA, albeit just for a few lucky sods living inside the footprint. What's interesting is that satellite transmission is used on top of analogue fm, lw and mw and terrestrial DAB.So, they provide the satellite signal for services listeners can largely access by other means. What's the point in using a satellite only covering areas already covered by analogue and digital signal?
