Yesterday I went to look at a newly installed 2.4m Channelmaster and establish how successful the reception of 2D (BBC & ITV) has turned out here in Lanzarote.

During my disccusion with the publican who was very helpful, he told me he has heard a rumour, supposedly from a reliable source, that the 2D footprint is to be tightened up considerably to the extent that most of the spillover from the UK will cease.

It is claimed that this will happen very shortly and outside of the UK the BBC & ITV will be gone forever! His advice was not to invest in a large dish until this rumour is squashed or proven correct so guys your comments please!

The upside of the discussion was that reception of both BBC & ITV is good most of the time but is weather sensitive and not 24 x 7 which was a little dissapointing.
