Oops, now I made a basic mistake, the capacity of the TP is in fact 34.8Mbits/s, i.e. twice what I wrote above, giving each BBCi about 4.8Mbits/s that indeed is more than all the radios combined. Dunno how much that data channel would add to the capacity that could be moved.

But still I maintain that it's more lack of will than technical issues preventing BBC from putting at least most of the radio channels on Astra 2B. ;-)
