I have just done this in the UK/CH.
I bought a new 2nd digibox from a site on the web.
When it arrived I phoned Sky and got a second subscription at my UK address for 15 quid p.m. They did not ask any questions about the new digibox. A couple of days later the new card arrived to UK address. Only the basic channels worked. I had to phone Sky to do the setup. They lead me through a short setup procedure (press button x on the remote then press etc etc). The final step required that I hang up my phone and allow their system to access my digibox via the telephone line. A few minutes later all the channels were enabled. Then I moved my new box to CH. Everything worked fine. A few days ago I reduced my subscription on the first digibox. Within hours both boxes had been modified to the lesser number of channels without a telephone line connection (reductions must come down from the satellite).
