Thanks again, Bobben. I think I am beginning to see the point, I suppose it is essentially what we used to call "copyright". I am not much into sport, and slow to understand the commercial angle. I might watch England vs Australia on Saturday if it were free, not otherwise.

One of the tricks from a UK standpoint since the 1980s has been to make people pay for what once used to be free at the point of use. When a monopoly is a private company with profit as its objective, not a public organisation provinding public service, we should ask the private company assumes ownership in the first place. In may cases it simply stole what once belonged to everybody.

You have been very patient with my ignorance and political gripes.
